WP 8: Accreditation, Certification and Quality Management Processes
Objectives
To ingrain quality in all aspects of the training programmes developed, from content to implementation and assessment.
- Develop and implement effective and systematic quality management processes leading to accreditation and tools for:
(lectures, case studies, roundtables, distance learning)
Training programmes and activities (e.g. courses)

- Establish and promote individual certification (re-certification) of pharmaceutical medicine as well as drug development professionals (initial and life-long)
- Apply quality management concepts and methodology in all educational and training programmes resulting from the IMI-16 initiative
- Produce certified European Pharmaceutical Medicine professionals who are equipped with specialist knowledge and comprehensive skills and competencies, acquired in accredited education and training programmes, to practise to the highest standards for the benefit of safety of patients and the public in the development and use of medicines.
